In this essay, I make use of "jewels" made with wire. These pieces originated from the time when I was 17 years old, and obsessively made and used these pieces. Now, I use them to make self-portraits, showing the marks that the "jewels" leave after a long period of use. The work tries to debate on the sacrifices, that reach in the contemporary world its apex, for the maintenance of the youth and artificial beauty.
