I was born in Novi Sad, Serbia, in 1973. Since 1999, I am living in Brazil, where I came to escape from the social chaos and unpredictability my future, caused by the conflicts in my native country. I received my PhD in Mathematics from University of São Paulo. Beside mathematics, photography has been my passion and most eloquent form of expression since I was 17 years old.

I am nourished by personal experiences, and through my research and experimentation in photography, I hope to represent the invisible: the universe of sensations, their apprehensions and insecurities. I articulate poetic strategies that betray the materiality of the visible field and make use of layers and noises that creates labyrinthic and enigmatic images. I often perform theatrical situations and create self-portraits of strong psychological density, mostly in black and white.

I am obsessively seeking visual representation of what is the most personal and nontransferable in my own experience. Drama lived during the war in my native country and the inevitable sensations of displacement and loneliness by forced adaptation to a completely different culture, are only some of those experiences I represent.
